Located at the northern end of the glistening sweep of white sand that is Chaweng Beach, just 15 minutes from the airport, is the Kandaburi Resort & Spa. Straddling both sides of the road into the heart of Chaweng it offers wonderfully spacious, beautifully appointed rooms in a tropical location only a 10 minutes stroll along the beach to all the entertainment, restaurants and shopping that Chaweng has to offer. Its beachfront setting offers guests the opportunity to simply soak up the sun on powder soft sands lapped by clear emerald waters or enjoy some of the many watersports available from the resort. Of course for a more sedate time guests can enjoy the resorts pools. There are two swimming pools, one at the beach with a separate children's pool and a second pool on the hillside. Location

Koh Samui is part of Thailand's largest and most important Southern province, called Surat Thani, which literally means "A city of the Good people". Koh Samui is located 657 kilometres, a 1 hour flight, from Bangkok and is one of the provinces major tourist attractions and destination. Koh Samui is known for its natural environment and is mostly covered with coconut trees and wooded hills and the island is fast becoming one of the most cherished and treasured destinations in southern Thailand.

Facilities

Kandaburi Resort & Spa has been designed to assimilate with the local culture and its surroundings and offers the best of both worlds; the hustle and bustle of the beach, along with a tranquil surrounding away from it all.

The resort offers an extensive range of activities including Fitness Centre, tennis, an array of water and beach sports, and 2 beautiful swimming pools, one a 23 metre free form pool with a Children's pool separated from the main pool at the beachside, and a larger 30 metre pool on the hillside, next to the Fun Pub. To compliment this there is a choice of 4 restaurants offering a selection of Thai, Mediterranean and Western cuisines, 2 bars and the Sea Horse Pub.

The in-house PADI Dive Centre, located next to reception at the Kandaburi Resort & Spa offers a full range of PADI Dive Courses, from beginner to professional, for adults and children. All of the courses are conducted by experienced, professional and friendly dive crew in a completely safe and fun environment. If you wonder what it is like to breathe underwater and have never tried, experience a free try dive which you can take before committing yourself to a course or dive trip. There is also an excursion desk which can also arrange a round of golf for the enthusiast.

Adjacent to the resort is the small island of Matlang where snorkeling is fun, you may want to take a full day out either to the Angtong National Marine Park, or Koh Phangyan. Both are spectacular trips.

Kanda Spa

Our spa sanctuary is designed to peel away the layer of daily stress with selective restoration and rejuvenating therapy that combines the best of time tested holistic treatment. A fusion of eastern and western and contemporary design allows guests to embark on a journey of health, well-being and awakening. Inspired and influenced by the traditions and rituals of Asian cultures and other modern fusion treatments are designed to set guests on a harmony of healing and relaxation. The spa caters to all hotel guests and has an extensive menu of full body treatments.

Dining

You will need at least a full week staying at Kandaburi Resort & Spa to enjoy all the delicious Food venues offered at the resort's four food and beverage outlets,

Breakfast starts at The Palm Court - The Breakfast court for the hillside guests, open air concept under a roof, with panoramic sea views. Open 6:30 am until 10:30 daily. Help yourself to the continental and hot food items at the buffet.

The Frangipani Beach and poolside Restaurant is open for breakfast lunch and dinner offering special evening Buffets and Barbeques around the pool area, dining under the stars "Truly Amazing, Truly Thai". The beach Restaurant opens early for morning refreshments at 06:30 - 22:00 daily. Round the pool, lunch time trade begins at 10:30 until 4:30 daily.

Kandalina , an easy going alfresco style Mediterranean Restaurant; with an ambience of relaxed service and atmosphere with an Antipasto Style Buffet, and a wide menu selection of meats, pastas, seafood, fine wines. Open 6:00pm last orders 10:30pm daily. Fully air conditioned. Where the food is next to none on the island. Enjoy our band from 8 p.m. onwards.

Orchidea, The signature restaurant of Kandaburi resort & spa. A real fine dining location fully air conditioned, Traditional Thai restaurant to savour the best of Thai food with Fine wines. You will feel relaxed and ready to savour the tantalizing traditional Thai food. Open for lunch and dinner.

In room Dining: Open from 6:00 a.m. until 10:30pm, for last orders. A menu full of variety for all tastes, don't forget to try one of our Barbeques under the stars down on the beach.

The Lobby Bar: A relaxing and undisturbed location with a scenic view onto the bay, enjoy one of our cocktails or just try a single malt or just a Gin and tonic, while waiting for your Guests. Open 7:00 am until 12.00 pm.

The Pool Deck Bar: Is the place to be away form the scorching mid day sun, sipping ice cold shakes, blends, cold beers and soft drinks its up to you, feel the chill as you sip on a traditional Singha beer.

Entertainment

Evening Entertainment around the pool will be a feature varied during the high season, December - March, July - September. Beachfront theme evenings offer live entertainment including an in-house band, Thai classical dancers and other shows.

The Seahorse Pub will be opened at 11:00 a.m. to 01:00 a.m. just after the breakfast rush has closed down: enjoy sports and life entertainment. Fun for all, next to the second pool. Big screen UBC for sports coverage

Room Facilities

Taking full advantage of its superb location Kandaburi Resort & Spa offers 131 Deluxe Hillside rooms and 44 Premier rooms. Every room is wonderfully spacious with a private balcony and promotes elegant style reflecting exotic yet modern taste, perfectly blending with Thailand's rich and friendly culture.

The Deluxe Hillside rooms, located across the road from the Premier beach side wing, offer stylish furnishings and delightful views over the tropical gardens or swimming pool with many also overlooking the sparkling waters of the Gulf of Siam. Each room is wonderfully spacious (52 sqm) has a huge bathroom with separate shower area and bathtub set at a window through to the rest of the room. The polished floors add to relaxed feel of the room. Hillside rooms are located across the road from the Beach wings of the hotel. The Hillside rooms have their own pool and restaurant with golf carts also available to get to the beach section of the resort. The hotel has 24 hour fulltime security staff members who stop traffic to allow guests to cross the road safely.

Premier rooms offer more luxurious furnishings, are within a few metres of the beach and have views of the lotus ponds, beachfront swimming pool, and the sea beyond. They are located on the beachside of the resort which has its own pool and beachside restaurant and is ideal for those wanting extra touches and easier access to their rooms and the resort facilities with immediate access to the beach. Each room is a very spacious 52sqm with a well appointed bathroom featuring a separate shower and bathtub attractive living area with LCD TV and DVD player and wide balcony.
