Surrounded by white sandy beaches, emerald waters and colourful coral reefs, the Fijian Resort is one of Fijian's most popular and complete holiday resorts. Located on it's own 109 acres tropical island yet conveniently connected to the mainland by a private causeway. The layout of the resort is inspired by a traditional Fijian village providing guests with the relaxing atmosphere of the South Pacific.

The recently refurbished rooms are modern in design, with earthy colours and soft lighting creating a serene South Pacific ambience. All this is complemented by the staff, who are among the friendliest in the world.

The new Ratu Makutu Events Centre has been completed, and the new CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La opened in October 2007 and it is the largest and most luxurious private spa in Fiji.

The resort also offers a range of fun-filled activities, including water sports, scuba diving and golf, as well as exciting events for the whole family.

Room Facilities

All 442 rooms face out towards the ocean or lagoon and offer modern decor with a touch of Fijian elegance. Take your choice of lagoon or ocean view or if travelling with the extended family or group of friends the Two Bedroom Beach Bure is a great option with its own kitchenette and private outdoor area.

There are 436 elegant guest rooms within the hotel's 5 main wings, each with its own private balcony and all offer stunning ocean or lagoon views. Each guest room and bure features air-conditioning, ceiling fans, IDD telephone, in-room safe, refrigerator, tea/coffee making facilities, toiletries, hairdryer, bath robes, iron and ironing board and private balcony. Televisions feature in all rooms.

From 01 April 2013, the Lagoon categories and 2 Bedroom Beach Bures will be unavailable due to renovations at the resort. Guests will have a choice from Superior Ocean View, Deluxe Ocean Family & 1 Bedroom Executive Suite.

Lagoon View rooms offer contemporary, inviting accommodation with traditional Fijian touches inspired by natural elements. Located in the Lagoon Wing near the Lagoon Pool, the room offers a private balcony with views of the tropical lagoon.

Lagoon View Ground Floor rooms are available at an extra charge and provide easy ground level access. Ideal for families with young children or elderly guests.

Ocean View rooms are ideal for families or couples in a quieter corner of the resort. Located in the Ocean Wing close to the Coral Pool, Cafe Coral and Golf & Gym Bure.

Ideal for families and groups travelling together, the invitingly designed Lagoon Family rooms are mostly located on ground floors, with easy access to the resort's most popular areas.

Inspired by traditional Fijian beach bungalows, four Deluxe Beach Bures offer uniquely enchanting, exceptionally spacious accommodations with rich woods and fabrics that evoke the warm, gracious spirit of the South Pacific. Deluxe bures have two bedrooms and separate living and dining areas, decorated in an inviting, traditional Fijian style. The bure offers international television channels, a DVD entertainment system and international direct dial telephones. The bathroom has a soaking tub and a separate shower cubicle.

Family Deals

Ideal for families and groups travelling together, the invitingly designed Lagoon Family Rooms are mostly located on ground floors with easy access to the resort's most popular areas. Baby cots can only be placed in Ocean View, Lagoon Family, Ocean Family, 1 Bedroom Suite and 2 Bedroom Beach Bure. The cots are available at no charge. An infant is included in the children count for maximum room capacity.

The resort caters superbly for children and they'll love spending time at the legendary 'Little Chiefs Club' with activities to keep them entertained all day. Kids under 18 years stay free (when sharing room with adults), kids under 12 years eat free (max.2 kids per room).

WEDDINGS

For those who want to get married in paradise, there can be no better spot than the Shangri-La's Fijian Resort. The resort's beautiful island offers a range of stunning venues for outdoor weddings as well as a non denominational Seaside Wedding Chapel. Set amidst a plantation of palm trees at the waters edge, the Seaside Chapel is located in an intimate and secluded setting near the 7th golf green. The chapel seats up to 40 guests.
